Everything is going PERFECTLY, but they are caught! Piper gets put into a machine that hurts her TERRIBLY. It is supposed to make her forget what kind of ability she has and how to use it.

im readin a book called the peppins and their problems. so far its been a great book and i really like it. this time they got stuck on top of a building because they tried to go bungie jumping, one of the people  looking up at them had to go home and get one of their tools to get them down.

    Conrad is playing mean tricks on Piper. He snatched up her wooden bird (the one her pa made for her) and threw it into the garbage disposal. Piper got mad and fought Conrad.

    Now Piper wants to get it back. She goes to floor 4 and sees the test animals. She feels so sorry for them and helps most of the ones that are suffering. She keeps a black cricket in her pocket.

The people from the city of sparks give the people of ember a place to stay. It is called the pioneer hotel it was small. It used to be a very nice hotel but it is not as nice anymore. Some of the rooms don't have so some of them have to sleep on the floor. The people of ember wished all of the rooms had beds.
