I read about Nikkie going home.She sent Grover 25$ for the trip that he wants to take. He finaly got enough money to go and he learned alot. Nikkie would visit from time to time. The Prophet's vision took action later,so the project Nikkie's dad was working on to save the human race happened. They took many people to Ember including Nikkie. She was writing in her journal but she was afraid she'd be caught, so she hid it [that was the journal Poppy found in the City of Ember] and waited to see what lay ahead.
