Jerry Pye and Rachel Pye work hard to earn a dollar so they can buy a puppy. They earned the dollar by dusting the pews at church. They buy the puppy and name him Ginger. Ginger is a very smart dog and he knows a lot of tricks. Then, on Thanksgiving he gets stolen! On Jerry's birthday Uncle Bennie finds Ginger! Ginger was kidnapped by Wally Bullwinkle, a guy in Jerry's class. :O
